There have been a number of reports in the West-of-England media today concerning a “urine attack” on a Bath mosque. Apparently two idiots walked into the mosque, on Bath’s Pierrepoint Street, and relieved themselves over worshippers shoes, clothing and a carpet! The two “bright sparks” are perhaps better described as “dull-sparks”, as they committed this act of insensitive stupidity beneath a CCTV camera!
However the reaction of Somerset and Avon Police to this act of minor vandalism is as predictable as it is hypocritical. And we’ll now tell you why.
The police, instead of treating it as a stupid misdemeanor, are pulling out all the stops to track down the two culprits, for no other reason than to curry favour with Bath’s growing Muslim community. According to Somerset and Avon Police it is a serious racial incident and to that end the media have been provided with stills from the cctv footage to help identify the pair. Curiously had this been a mugging or any other form of vandalism, against a church for instance, then it would have been treated as low priority as these things tend to be!
Yet despite Somerset and Avon Police’s determination to apprehend these two “racists” (and yes the term is being used despite the fact that no-one knows for sure why they did what they did) they did not show the same enthusiasm two years ago. Then over one hundred young men from the Somerset and Avon area were illegally discriminated against when they applied for jobs with that force as trainee police constables. Indeed, even though it was confirmed that Somerset and Avon Police had acted ILLEGALLY and had RACIALLY discriminated against these young men because they happened to be white – not a single police office was questioned, arrested or charged in connection with Somerset’s biggest case of racial discrimination to date! In addition Somerset and Avon Police couldn’t even be bothered to issue a formal apology in respect of their gross racism! And, of course, the county media had nothing much to say either – unlike when two daft lads disgrace themselves in a mosque foyer!
Which all goes to prove that when it comes to matters of race, particularly where Muslims are concerned, you can really on the “Old Bill” to put on a breathtaking display of double standards every time!
